Day 8 CONTINUED Pokhara • Annapurna Base Camp Heli-tour •
Phewa Lake • Home-Hosted Dinner - Nov 25, 2018
On an island in Phewa Lake, is the 2 story pagoda of Barahi Temple. Many people find Barahi Temple a peaceful place. However, the Holy-day we visited it was teeming with crowds. Barahi Temple is dedicated to Ajima in the boar manifestation of the force of Shakti. Shakti is the Hindu mother goddess who is the origin of universal creativity and power. Shakti, In the form of Durga, a boar called Barahi, protects the gods from demons. Durga pierces her evil enemies with her pointed tusks. ► 02 Pokhara Lake Temple
Our last stop of the day was a visit to the International Mountain Museum (IMM.) The IMM is the gateway for climbers and mountain enthusiasts, and the organization is working to support the people of the Himalayas while also bringing the majesty of this towering and expansive range to the international community. The IMM comprises four galleries, a research center, events, educational activities and climbing opportunities. ► 03 International Mtn Musem
Tonight, we witnessed the daily life in the Himalayas with a ►Home-Hosted Dinner with a local family in Pokhara.
Day 20 Overland to Seti River • Seti River Rafting - Nov 26, 2018
Today we began our rafting journey along the Seti River. At the rafting launch site we receive information and instructions from our river guides. We board our rafts and let the crew navigate down river for three-hours. Along the river banks, women wash clothes, men fish with sticks and cloth nets, and children swim and play. They all wave as we pass by. A few sections of rough water with waves up to 4 feet require maneuvering by our expert guides. After a picnic lunch our afternoon rafting is on smooth waters. We end day 1 rafting and settle into our safari-style camp surrounded by luscious forest.

Day 21 Explore Khaharetar village • Bird watch - Nov 27
After breakfast this morning, our guides lead us on a trek to Khaharetar Village.
